thats the hardened edition which includes all the map packs for free.

and yes it may be out dated engine but its still by far the best

By far the best what exactly? Best engine? Hardly. Best FPS? CoD4 was yes, but since then, nope. The engine is older than the tech in the Xbox360 and PS3, which is now getting on for 8 year old tech.

Paying 84.99 for a game, so you can have all the DLC for free, doesn't justify the price. It wasn't that many years ago this "DLC" was free or already in the game, and cost a mere 30 quid. Expansion packs were full on proper expansion packs.

i buy them for the online gaming and they are far better than any other online fps ive played.

the game is £40 all 4 map packs work out at £60 so paying £65 for both is a bargain

I'm curious to know what other FPS you're comparing this too. BC2? Halo? I'm assuming you're on Xbox here

bc2 lasted less than a week before i traded it in but may give bc3 a go, not really a halo fan, quite like crysis 2

Crysis 2 is the only FPS you've really played that has a similar play style to the CoD series. Interesting.

i wouldnt say crysis 2 is similar play style especially with all the suit powers you get

What is the elite about? have you gotta pay to play online? why cant they keep it simple and just have online play?

na you can still play online for free, cod elite is just a load of other stuff like stats, competitions, hints and tips and walkthroughs and all that sort of stuff plus you get free stuff which includes all the map packs so its worth it for that alone as elite is £35 for the year and all the map packs work out about £60.
or you can do what im doing and buy the hardened edition for £65 which includes a years worth of elite with it
