So has it already had a swap or do you mean it still has the original b16a1?

And 4 times ass much money shakman.

Biggest issue is iabs.

Get a skunk2 intake mani. Mode your orin loom to fit the c4. Use A obd0 mappable ecu chipped and mapped to suit(try htune) Use the b16 original cable gearbox. With a clutch and flywheel to suit.

Everything else should be bolt on.

Sorry been out of town,

Basically Ive bought a 1.6 VT shell lol, everythings there except engine and gearbox, the engine had blown and previous owner had removed the gearbox to sell as spares!

So I have purchased an MB6 1999 Honda Civic 1.8 VTiS, so sticking the B18C4 engine and LSD gearbox from this into the 1989 beauty!

Obv any bits i need from the new civic I can take off as i will be scrapping it after but im not sure exactly what problems im going to face during the process!

Ive been told the new engine in the old civic will need some mounting adjustments?, and I might also have a wiring problem! but i wanted more information, does anyone know where I can get some custom engine mounts? or mounts that wil make this engine fit in the EE?

the ecu that came out of the mb6, send it to H-tune and have it de-immobolised, then get a conversion harness and you can run that ecu. Mounts you will need from a ef with a b series engine

Slight Problem, i spoke to my cousin whos taking engine out for me, he said the new cars engine gearbox config is 1.8 Vti Dohc with Hydaulic gearbox whereas old one was B16A2 with Cable gearbox, this gearbox difference means the mountings dont line up! any advice :(

Don't use the hydro box, use the old gear box out if the b16a2, that could be fine, if you elwanna use the b18c4 gearbox your gonna have to look into cable to hydro conversion.

Get a cable box, or use an innovative cable - hydro conversion actuator, the hasport ones are pants.
The original engine in the EE9 will have been an OBD0 B16A1, not an A2.
You need a set of B series engine mounts from an EE / EF 9 which will mount everything up, if you stick with HYDRO you will need the gearbox conversion mount as well as the mounts on a hydro are different.

For the wiring do as Smiley says with the Skunk2 but you're going to need a chipped PW0 ECU to run on OBD0 mapped to the B18c4, best place to go is Scott at h-tune.co.uk for a chip and a remap, I have a spare PW0 here if you need one.
