As you are probably pleased to hear, we are back up and running. However, we are not on our own server, we are still on the old IPS server.
Long story short...
1. We closed the forum so we could take backups, and transfer to the new server.
2. Simon gets the new servers setup and begins the transfer.
3. When setting up the forum, we kept getting errors.
4. We contacted support, and after a day or so worth of tickets back and forth. We found out that we would have to purchase half the suite again just to get everything running. So when it came down to it all, it was a lot more agro than it was worth.
5. On that basis, we decided to just stay with IPS for now. As they will be transferring us onto the same server than Edition38 is running, and Edition38 are like double the size of us with NO problems what so ever.
So here we are, with the forum turned back on. Just waiting on IPS getting back to us on transferring the forum over to the new server. Don't worry though, we will still probably move over to our own server at some point, but we have realised that you cannot rush these things.
Anyway, enjoy yourselves, it's been a long time since you were here.
