I use Castrol GTX 10W - 40 the entire time I've had my car, Burns very little oil.

VW have/had recommend Castrol.
Skoda had recommend Shell
Seat had recommend Repsol.

Right you are, went there today for a look about.. asked behind the counter can they get 10w40 gtx in, they said they recently stopped stocking it and now only stock the 15w40 in the gtx..

Serious? Bloody hell, 4ltrs of the magnatec is £29 in Halfords! May go Asda tomorrow then and see if they got any gtx, as im due an oil change myself.
