Lucky to enough to have a go in it last saturday at norfolk arena (me driving. hence not very sideways),
but it's a 2.0ltr 8v with like 90bhp but with a welder it's more than enough.
I think he bought the car for like 800 quid in streeto drift condition,
spent less than a grand on it making it a proper drifter and it's perfect.
Beautiful car.

Most of my mates have 14's & 13's and im in the same position.
I've got a budget of £2500 and im gonna go for a prepped 13 i reckon.
Should be able to get one with that money or a standard 14.

It's all down to personal choice.
For instance, I wouldn't want to be seen dead in a bmw or a mx. :P

I read the title wrong (on my iphone) thought it said:

Soo......I want a little dirty boy

Thought here we go again another gary glitter thread, either way molesting kids, foxes and bagers is as gay as drifting.

One of those ratty old volvos? So much time for those.

I had a 340 1.7, she was a mint 70k red 3dr cost me £300. Rocked classic swede front springs & rear blocks (2.5" drop) defender dampers, gutted it, welded the diff and kicked the shit out of it. On tight circuits it was better that the 318/20 boys.

Her she is with nothing but the diff welded

And here was her demise

Sorry haven't read all the above responses.

All depends on what you want really

If it's just going to be a weekend toy and something which you're likely to bump (and by the sounds of it you will) then I'd suggest going down the 328i route.

Me and a mate were after a weekend drift toy, for £700 we ended up with a '95 N reg 328i sport which had an lsd, (note that 9/10 328's that are pre '96 came with an lsd, it was then an optional extra) a set of staggered 17" team dynamics 1.2's and coilovers.

All we did was completely gut the interior literally down to the metal, just left the dash and steering wheel in place.

Pumped up the rear tyres to 40psi and what we had was a drifting beast.

This thing has so much torque that you barely have to go over 3k revs to keep the back end out.

Serious amount of fun for the money

I love mine, it's been great, fsh and only 112k miles, it's s quick as an itr too. Let me know if interested, IRS lowered and had M3 alloys, good leather you could sell it, it's black. Marc
