Just recently read upon this subject, don't know how many of you know of/about this, but the land on Earth used to be one huge lump, called Pangaea, about 300 million years ago. This was before the dinosaurs went extinct, and all of our countries and continents were joined together as one piece of land, and obviously over time it separated into today's world as we know it.

So what am i trying to get at here? I was just wondering if the land on our earth can still move about/change course/split apart/clump back together again.

For anyone that's curious: Pangaea Super Continent

Its allways moving, the plates of the earths crusts are allways moving. Albeit very slowly, but thats the reason for mountain ranges as they push against each other, earthquakes etc as they rub against each other aswell as bash into each other and what not.
Sorry if my explination is garbage, i blame the beer .... i had last friday.

If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical fault.

it is moving now! that's the tectonics plate theory. The horn of Africa is splitting of from main land Africa through a 60km crack going through Ethiopia

Also there is a mid ocean ridge which goes through the centre of the Atlantic ocean, this causes the crust to spread so we get 25mm per year further away from America!

Ha, i thought so! So from what you're saying, is africa splitting apart now then?

The plates moving etc. is also something vaguely to do with Iceland still growing. 'Only' something like an inch a year but over time that's pretty impressive!

Touching up on this on BBC1 now
When I run, I am running as if I am running towards someone attacking my family. When I lift, I am lifting the weight that is about to crush my child. Every workout you do is preparation for a time where it really matters. If you do not train like someone's life depends on you, what will you do when one does?
