nice to see people can take their honda blinkers off..

Still both a French piece of shit though.

@ Ross_D15b - everyone has a different idea of what's fast though, if you've been driving a 1.2 and then jump in a B series Honda you're going to think it's quick. When people say "fast" I always think "compared to what?".
I've got a mate who's particularly bad at this, he regards anything less than 600bhp "slow". When in all fairness, something like a mildly tuned EP3 is plenty quick enough for some people, especially if it's just a road car.

My dad had a diesel 106, 5 door in Bright green. it looked awful. But I didn't mind the inside, and it drove well.

I really liked the pin code to start the engine. Cool safety feature.

My missus dad has a laguna, and my sister has a espace, I've had more problems with Hondas, than both cars out together!!
Maybe I just buy shit Hondas?? Lol.

What is your purpose for the car?? For similar price you could get a Octavian, with a 1.8t. Nice sleeper with modding Potential.

A black facelift has got to be the most expensive and classy combination that you can achieve with a 96-00 civic.

Correct. Cheap shopping cars. Cheap parts. "JDM" points means you can hang out with supras and skylines.

For 80% anyway. Things with Type R written on them are usually different.

My mate from work has just sold his 106 gti, and purchased a Clio 182. From what he's said, the 106 was more of a 'fun' car to drive, being so low, small and the handling being pretty good on it, it was like a go kart to drive! The downside is the interior is quite nasty and basic. The Clio has a much nicer interior compared to the 106, and feels more of a solid car to drive.

you got kids?

if the Mrs (and maybe the kids) will be in the car day to day, then i'd defo say Clio 172, its a 5-Star NCAP is it not?

That's where I come from with cars, you modify it to make it faster. All the other stuff is for scene kids, yeah nice wheels and some small asthetic mods, but some of these things are completley over the top, just to win points within a scene or culture, thats a bit gay IMO and people will only grow out of it with time.

It was the same 10 years ago with the big body kits and clear lights, that was the fashion back then, and this is the fashion right now. Either way, its RICE.

On the other side of the coin, if you hit anything bigger than a traffic cone in a 106 you're as good as dead. So the choice is between something very safe, or something very unsafe. Hard choice..
