I have a Jordan because there isn't many of them about and I love honda's! New cars are fu*king exspensive these days and you get fuck all for your money! Most kids my age are going and getting new clio's and new corsas on finance! Wtf is the point😳?

For me it's joy of driving it. Older cars are so much more fun and have so much more character. Then there is the satisfaction of getting ur mods on and feeling or seeing a difference. When it breaks down u just have to fix it because you want that feeling of success and the joy of driving it again.

But that's just me lol

The raw feeling of driving it flat out, and rinsing mates' newer more 'powerful' cars.

The satisfaction keeps most of us going I think, I'd say it was the same with anything, whether you mod a new car or an old car, or even fit a nice kitchen in your house. It's when you can take a step back and have a look at what YOU have done :) Well that's what does me :D

harVTEC

This is the nail on the head for me.. Knowing the time and work YOU have put into the car is very rewarding when it starts to come together.. Buying a new car just seems boring

Newer cars look all the same to me tbh or similar

That and older cars give me a sense of feeling, I enjoy sitting there i enjoy feeling the car and what its got for me.

When i get in a new car theres no attachment i dont get that smile i do from older cars plus if i prang it etc or just wanna experiment and have fun its not expensive fix or replace it

but then after while kahn you'll get bored of the new whip and then what? :P lol. I mean i would love to have my old skool whip and still have my newer car for weekends (in the future) but yeah building your own car is like a hobby right? when u spend more than the car's worth 2 times over is mental but in the end its still car money.

Just be smart with your expenditure alot of people spend silly money in my eyes getting there civics to push out power thats not necessary imo.

plus as said its an extension of yourself if i had a merc there i s no way i would want to mess about with the interior putting Marvel comic material on the b pillars etc

as you said its a hobby and its fun :)

For me it's a hobby, I enjoy it, I enjoy the fact that my cars not a flashy m3, Evo or Sti but when it comes to a line up the look on their faces when I'm ahead at lights ect is worth it. I like the retro feel that comes with a 20 year old car, the sense of journey n achievement I get when I look at it is worth it alone.

My cars not the same car that came out of the factory back in 1993 nearly everything has been changed, so doesn't feel old.

When I go to some of the office, I see loads of boring new cars then I see mine n it puts a smile on my face every time.

I have had new cars n I don't get the same feeling with them.

i didn't have the drive for it, i got sick of spending a fortune on an old car

so i bought a newer one and spent a fortune on that....

regardless, if i had all the money back I ever wasted on cars....i'd buy a car

That's where I come from with cars, you modify it to make it faster. All the other stuff is for scene kids, yeah nice wheels and some small asthetic mods, but some of these things are completley over the top, just to win points within a scene or culture, thats a bit gay IMO and people will only grow out of it with time.

It was the same 10 years ago with the big body kits and clear lights, that was the fashion back then, and this is the fashion right now. Either way, its RICE.

i feel my 1989 civic hatch is superior to newer cars, age before beauty.

oh, and on the whole, new cars are, mostly, shite.

Older car's are better than newer cars. All motor enthusiasts prefer older cars because of their characteristics and feel. I would love to own a fairlady z30 one day!

Like many have already said, it's that character about them, and I generally feel that the build quality is greater than the newer cars now.

I feel all the new cars now are all about saving money, where as the older cars I feel were built with superior parts and have that quality engineering in mind. Not just with cosmetics, but the engines too!
