i can't believe you used a torque wrench to undo it, oh dear.

ah well nice one dude

EDIT: whatever happened to the good old firing the spring across the workshop method :P

Use a power bar not a torque wrench.

i just watched this aswell, pretty cool vid, i assume the principle is roughly the same for most civics? for example my MB4 aswell...

well i forgot to post up that this vid does work for my MB4 civic as its not lowered... its the same for most civics!... and once you have done the front the back is not difficult to work out (althought it is slightly different). Just make sure that you have the WD40 on standby if you have an older civ :)

^^ w0rd, you might want an angle grinder and a few new bolts on standby too. and don't forget the copperslip grease for putting it back together...

Jeez,

Had completely forgotten i ever made that! Was just browsing through where had linked to it and came across here!

BTW, the torque wrench we were using to undo the bolts was years old, i didnt take my breaker bar round to my mates house so we used the old torque wrench as it was longer. To do the bolts up we used a newer one that was much more accurate.

The springs were just some £100 off eBay jobs, nothing special. The car was sold very soon after the video was made.

i tell you what its a good thing you didnt damage any bolts by hammering the ends without using a copper hammer?? other than that think its ok.
