Hi guys
In an effort to keep CivicLife running for good, I have setup a donations system so you have the ability to contribute towards the forums running costs.
Currently since CL has started, I have been paying £70 a month for the past 6 years, which equates to £5040. This money has gone in for the love of the community, nothing else. I have never asked for any money from you guys because I felt like it was a small price to pay a month to give something towards other people. However, recently since the increased amount of traffic to the forum we have had to upgrade to a beasty server, with dedicated technical support. This has come at a cost, which is £220 a month, something which is burning a hole in my pocket fast. We have been with this new hosting for 5 months now, so in total I have spent £1100 with them.
In the 6 years that CL has been running, that is a total of £6140 in running costs! Didn't even realise until I calculated it today! (I wanna cry haha
)So if you fancy keeping the community you love running, then please donate what ever you can. There is a lot of you, so even a small amount from a few of you could really help the monthly costs.
I don't think I need to give a tutorial on how to donate, its pretty self explanatory, either click on the Donate tab at the top or use the sidebar
